Elements and Performance Criteria
- Identify financial scope of and potential funding sources for project
- Develop a project proposal
- Plan and critique a project proposal that will attract funding from identified funding sources
- Determine optimum method of presenting project proposal to identified funding sources
- Clearly define structure of funding plan and interest of various parties and ensure proposal is supported by research from appropriate sources
- Seek legal, taxation and regulatory advice where necessary and ensure proposal is checked by appropriate persons to ensure it meets compliance requirements
- Present proposal and negotiate with funding sources
- Present project proposal to funding sources using appropriate presentation techniques
- Evaluate presentation to identify strengths and weaknesses to inform subsequent presentations
- Negotiate with funding source representatives to clarify terms and conditions of funding agreement
- Discuss funding agreement with all parties in a professional manner
- Finalise funding agreement
- Document funding agreement and circulate to all parties in a timely and effective manner
- Establish processes to monitor compliance and report progress against funding agreement
- Ensure funding agreement is checked and confirmed by appropriate persons
- Identify opportunities for ongoing funding arrangements with funding sources
